Salvation and the Promises in Christ

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Rom 5:7-8 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.;Matthew 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

What can we do to grasp the salvation of Jesus Christ?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.. John 3: 5. “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Matthew 7:21-23 21*Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven..

Are you ready to repent?

Matthew 22:37-39 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ” Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.. “. Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets..” Prov 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

If you believe you need to continue living in sin, it is because you do not believe in Christ. After all, you do not believe that God can give you through your obedience what you think sin gives you or will give you. If you believe 1) that there are people you are not ready to forgive, 2) that there are people whose will takes priority over the will of God in your life (parent, spouse, friend, relative, boss…) 3) that you need to live a life of cunning, evil, impudence… to get out of it, 4) that you must continue to live in racketeering, extortion, demands on users of money which is not a right for you, theft, hatred, covetousness, envy, non-compliance with the commandments of God then you are not ready to repent and baptize yourself because in repentance there is regret and commitment to abandon.

Why repent now if you haven’t done so yet?

If you think you are a Christian but have remained in a life of sin, you MUST repent. Today is the best time because you don’t know anything about tomorrow. You could postpone until tomorrow and die before and go to perdition. *Do not believe that if too many of you live in sin, this will ensure your salvation. 1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. Peter reminds us that at the NOE flood, only 8 people were saved, 8. Repent also to free yourself from curses, spells, and demons…. And allow God’s blessings into your life. Be careful to trust your clergy blindly, Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Many will be lost because they are more faithful to their clergy than to God. They do not seek truth, do not seek knowledge, and stick to what their clergy tells them. Hosea 4: 6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” Prov 10:21 “ The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.” Prov 3:21-22 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Repentance and Jesus’ invitation into his life

We do not receive Jesus into our lives by birth. Nor did we receive Jesus into our lives simply because we had baptismal water poured on us. We receive Jesus consciously and voluntarily. It’s a commitment we make. It can be on the occasion of baptism or other occasions, AND IT BEGINS WITH REPENTANCE. If you believed you had received Jesus into your life, but remained in a life of slavery and servitude to sin, likely, you never received Him.

The stages of repentance

Repentance and forgiveness are among the keys that open access to divine graces and blessings, and to a better relationship with God. If you haven’t repented, now is your chance to do so! Repentance involves 5 stages: 1) confession of the sin committed, 2) regret of having committed the said sin, 3) request for forgiveness, 4) sincere commitment to abandon it, and 5) sometimes if possible repair. Thus, just asking for forgiveness without having the intention of never doing it again or without deeply regretting the mistake committed is not repentance. Likewise, not making reparation for the fault where someone suffers from the damage committed and there is the possibility of making reparation is not repentance. Thus, many people spend their time asking for forgiveness without repenting. This request for forgiveness is NOT USEFUL. God has not called us to just ask for forgiveness but to repent (Luke 24:47, Mark 6:12,2 Peter 3:9, Revelation 9: 20-21,16:9,16:11).

The prayer of repentance

To receive Jesus Christ in your life, you can say with your mouth and with sincerity the following prayer:

“Lord God, I call on you in the name of Jesus Christ! Thank you for your love, thank you for your mercy! I have been estranged and rebellious from the salvation you have given me through your Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. My ancestors from my paternal line and my maternal line, and I have sinned, by our disobedience in actions and by our evil thoughts, by going towards other gods, towards the spirits, the dead, the magicians, the diviners, the astrologers, idols, praying to Mary, to angels, to the dead, using statues, practicing fornication, walking away from your justice and righteousness.

I deeply regret this past of sin and rebellion and recognize that it is wrong. I repent for my sins and those of my ancestors, forgive me O God! and may the blood of Jesus Christ cleanse me from all sin, from all bonds, and all curses arising from my sins or those of my ancestors. O God! Create in me a pure heart, renew in me a willing spirit.

I renounce any covenant I have made that is contrary to your ways, any covenant I have been involved in through relatives, relatives, or anyone else, and I ask for forgiveness. I also forgive those who have offended me and renounce any idea of personal vengeance against them. I receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, and I commit to following Him all the days of my life. Lord Jesus Christ, Save me, deliver me! Come, Lord Jesus!

I no longer want to live in iniquity, in sin. I desire to live in obedience, love, and righteousness, far from all covetousness, keeping your commandments. I know you can give me the ability, give me the strength to make it so.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I cancel on me and my life the impact of any bond, any demonic consecration, any curse concerning me. I cast out any demon or spirit that would oppress or possess me! I enter into the love of God and the peace of Christ, I love you oh my God! I commit to seeking first God’s kingdom and righteousness.

O Lord, manifest your presence, Grant me your Holy Spirit, and let him be my guide. May the Lord Jesus Christ live in me and enable me to know you better and serve you, Amen! »
