Repentance and Reconciliation with God

Reconciliation

The actions after repentance described here are taken from the book: “The Secrets of Strong Faith.”

Reconciling with God

  • If you have never received the Lord Jesus into your life.
  • If you think you have received Him but have remained in a life of sin,

You need to reconcile with God.

This reconciliation involves repentance. It is very important to understand that repentance involves regret and a commitment to abandoning sins. Some people claim to repent through behaviors that could be translated as follows: “Oh God, since what pleases me and what I have done displeases You, forgive me. Forgive me also for later, because I will do it again.”

Such a prayer is not a prayer of repentance and does not lead to reconciliation. The prayer of repentance might rather resemble:

Oh God, I deeply regret what I have done, and I recognise that it is wrong. I do not want to do it again. Give me the strength so that it will not happen again. In the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for forgiveness for this act.”

Repentance, therefore, involves a commitment to abandon sin. Do not believe that you are bound by sin or to sin. This is where you must make your first act of faith. Christ has freed you, and if you commit to abandoning sin, He will give you the strength to do so.

One does not receive Jesus into their life by birth. One has not received Jesus into their life simply because they were sprinkled with the water of baptism. One receives Jesus consciously and voluntarily. It is a commitment that one makes. It can be on the occasion of a baptism or on other occasions, and it begins with repentance. If you believed you had received Jesus into your life but have remained in a life of slavery and servitude to sin, it is very likely that you never truly received Him. But if you have really received Him, then pray sincerely to seek God’s forgiveness.

The Prayer of Repentance

To receive Jesus Christ into your life, you can say the following prayer with your mouth and with sincerity:

Eternal God, I call upon You in the name of Jesus Christ! Thank You for Your love, thank You for Your mercy! I have been distant and rebellious to the salvation You have granted me through Your Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for my sins and was resurrected from the dead. My ancestors from my paternal and maternal lineages, and I, have sinned by our disobedience in acts and by our evil thoughts, by turning to other gods (gods of the waters, of the forest, …), to spirits, the dead, magicians, astrologers, idols, by practicing so-called Christian rituals but devoted to Baals, by practicing impurity, by walking away from Your justice and righteousness.

I deeply regret this past of sin and rebellion and recognise that it is wrong. I repent for my sins and those of my ancestors, forgive me, O God! And let the blood of Jesus Christ cleanse me from all sin, from all bond, and from all curse resulting from my sins or those of my ancestors. O God! Create in me a clean heart, renew in me a right spirit.

I renounce every covenant I have made that is contrary to Your ways, every covenant in which I was involved by close ones, parents, or any other person, and I ask for forgiveness. I also forgive those who have offended me and renounce any idea of personal revenge against them. I receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior, and I commit to following Him all the days of my life. Lord Jesus Christ, save me, deliver me! Come, Lord Jesus Christ!

I no longer want to live in iniquity, in sin. I desire to live in obedience, in love, justice, far from all covetousness. I desire to keep Your commandments. I know that You can give me the ability to do so, give me the strength so that it will be so.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I cancel over myself and my life the impact of every bond, every demonic consecration, every curse concerning me. I cast out every demon or spirit that oppresses or possesses me! I enter into the love of God and the peace of Christ, I love You, oh my God! I commit to seeking first the kingdom and righteousness of God.

O Eternal, manifest Your presence, grant me Your Holy Spirit, and may He be my guide. May the Lord Jesus Christ live in me and enable me to know You better and serve You fully, Amen!”

Actions After Repentance

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5

At least five major actions are necessary if not yet done: 1) Baptism, 2) Reconciliation with humans, 3) Display the commandments and verses we always want to remember, 4) Establish a discipline and a plan for reading the Bible, 5) Establish a discipline of prayer and learning, 6) Build our wealth for God.

Then you must begin your birth of the Spirit by appropriating and applying the following words: 1. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness” (Matthew 6:33), 2. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind” (Luke 10:27), 3. “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:39), and 4. “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” (Titus 2:12).

I. Baptism

Acts 2:38-39Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

After repentance, water baptism should follow if it has not already been done. If you can do it by immersion, do it this way. This is how the Lord Jesus Christ was baptised, how John and the apostles baptised; it aligns with the etymological meaning of the word “baptise” and cannot harm you. Do it as soon as possible, for it helps you walk in God’s way and manifest His Spirit.

II. Breaking All Spiritual or Demonic Bonds

Stop all forms of spiritism, idolatry, magic, witchcraft, and stop listening to or consulting horoscopes or astrologers.

Stop bowing before statues of any kind or praying to anyone other than God (no prayers to Mary, saints, deceased relatives, or others).

Get rid of statues of Christ, Mary, or other religious statues. Get rid of crosses, even those without statues on them. It’s just wood; it’s not our God. It’s a form of idolatry, as many were crucified before and after Jesus Christ. Burn everything you have that is supposed to have spiritual powers, everything you have received from a magician, traditionalist, witch, or parent as a talisman or other. Free the chains with which you have spiritually bound people, open the locks in which you have enclosed people, renounce all spiritual pacts you have made.

III. Spiritually Nourish Yourself with the Word

It is very important to start reading the Bible to increase your knowledge of God. See the section “Readings After Repentance” later in this document.

Reconciling with Humans

Isaiah 58:6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”

As soon as possible, try to identify people who suffer because of your actions, people you have wronged, and who might hold a grudge against you for it. Go and ask for their forgiveness, and as far as possible, repair the harm you have done to them, or at least put an end to the suffering they continue to endure because of that harm. As far as possible, identify the wrongs of your close ones or parents that could impact you, and deal with them in the same way.

Similarly, repair if you can the injustices you have caused that have deprived people of what is rightfully thiers. When you cannot reach these people, make a sacrifice to God, help the poor and the saints (the saints here are those who truly serve God), and pray for these people so that God will shower them with His grace instead of your past actions.

Reconcile with your parents if they are still alive and those with whom you have issues. Seek their blessing wherever they may have spoken against you. Seek their blessing in the areas that matter to you. Reconcile with your spouse if possible by mutually forgiving each other for any issues that may be causing problems.

Also, forgive those who have wronged you. If you believe they must ask for your forgiveness, go to them to seek this forgiveness.

Readings and Listenings After Repentance

Hosea 4:6-7My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Hosea 6:6For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”

Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Finding Time to Develop Your Biblical Knowledge

  1. Listening: Many audio Bibles exist, allowing you to listen while you are in transit or involved in other activities that do not require much attention.
  2. Reading: By reading for 30 minutes a day, you can read the entire Bible in a year. The first reading does not have to be for understanding but for acquaintance. What you do not understand, just mark and move on (you can even put a question mark there). The more you have an overall knowledge, the better you understand what you may have missed. If not 30 minutes/day, do at least 15 minutes. If you do not have this time, it means you are not concerned with knowing God. For people who take public transport, it is possible to read your Bible or New Testament during transit time, which can sometimes represent more than 60 minutes a day, rather than just watching the scenery.
  3. Proclaiming: Mentally proclaim the texts you have read, which have struck you and which you remember.
  4. Meditating: Reflect on what you have read or listened to, see how to translate it into your daily life.

Make a Bible reading plan, imposing on yourself an average of at least 30 minutes of Bible reading per day. If you truly seek the Kingdom of God, you will find time for it.

Proposed reading order:

The first elements are in this very document. Others that are not Bible passages are downloadable from our Telegram space, outside of the book on Faith.

Make the effort to read within three weeks Ephesians 6:10-18, Luke 6 (Sermon on the Mount), Matthew 4 (the temptation of Jesus), Luke 8, Romans 6, the complete version of the true gospel message, and Job. If you cannot finish within one week, you should have started Job by the end of the first week and finish in the second week. This will help you better understand the doctrine of Christ. Before that, read the Ten Commandments, what is expected of a Christian, and “Are You Born Again?” in the continuation of this document.

You can easily find plans to read the entire Bible in one year on Google, which you can use to schedule your Bible reading. However, when you have time or are on vacation, read for several hours a day to quickly develop your knowledge, reducing time on social media, television, and other distractions.

Listening to Teachings

You can listen to detailed explanations of these texts by searching for the channel “love, kingdom, and justice of God” on YouTube, Spotify, Telegram, Amazon Music, or Deezer. You can also directly find the audio explanations by visiting the link to choose the channel that suits you best.

Note that Matthew 4, which describes the temptation of Jesus, also gives you an idea of the temptations you will face.

After that, I recommend my articles on forgiveness, judgment, the definition of sin, and “Go and Sin No More.”

The Discipline of Prayer

Give yourself a logic and discipline of prayer. I recommend praying at least twice a day, preferably in the morning upon waking, if possible before 6 a.m. or at the latest 7 a.m., and in the evening if possible between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., following the recommendation that God made to the people of Israel to present offerings to Him in the morning and “between the two evenings.” Note that what I say here is a recommendation, it is not a commandment or an obligation. Preferably, if possible, I recommend three prayers a day, like the prophet Daniel, adding a prayer at noon, preferably between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Remember, however, that prayer is like a seed, and the soil in which you sow is that of your obedience. Praying in disobedience or rebellion is not useful.

As much as possible, start your prayers with praise. Even a small praise is useful, we must praise God, thank Him for everything He brings us, for His blessings.

Also, plan periods of fasting and prayer. Fast for 3 days without eating or drinking, fast for 7 days without eating or eating once a day, or longer fasts. Ideally, it is better to fast while avoiding contact with people as much as possible. This can be done in a retreat (even at home). Weekends and vacations are particularly suitable. Remember that the main fast that God takes pleasure in is that you walk in holiness, that you break the chains of wickedness. The fasting period should also be a time of more intense prayers and praises. Fasting should generally have a goal for which you pray.

Building Your Wealth for God

By becoming a Christian, you become a living stone, participating in the building of the Church. Do not focus on building only earthly wealth while asking God to help you build wealth for yourself, while doing nothing for Him. This is what I call Sardine Christianity. God is your master and not your servant. Do your work well in God and receive your reward. Take care of God’s business even before your own, and He will take care of your business. Attention! I am not saying to abandon or neglect your business. On the contrary, you must be more committed, more professional, simply better, for the glory of God. I just remind you that you must seek first the Kingdom and the Righteousness of God. First, not only. You can take care of God’s business by testifying to the Salvation of Christ, calling people to repentance, contributing to assistance for the saints. Do not consider yourself too poor for this, give freely and with joy, without constraint. You can also give your time to help carry out various evangelical actions (production or distribution of documents, videos, audios…). If you do not yet have enough knowledge to evangelise yourself, distribute documents, audios, videos allowing people to learn, to be evangelised, put them in contact with those who can help them… Help those who are in imposture, in the counterfeit of Christianity to return to authentic Christianity. Also help by seeing how you can use your natural or professional talents for God’s work (through a little time devoted to using these talents for God’s work, providing free services to the poor or saints in God’s name…).

Define a plan and guidelines to build your wealth for God.

Be Ready for the Trial

Jesus Christ, after His baptism, was led into the wilderness to be tempted. He was tempted by the devil there. Job, in all his obedience, was tested, suffering several misfortunes in a single day. Abraham was tested because he was asked to sacrifice his only child according to the promise, which he obtained at the age of 100 years. Without hesitation, he went to sacrifice his son and was stopped by God, who provided a ram in his place. You too will be tested if you have not yet been. You can even be persecuted because it is said that all who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. It is at the time of trial that you show your faithfulness to God. It is when you are in your wilderness, when everything is

The Ten Commandments of God (Exodus 20:3-17)

  1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
  4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
  5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
  6. Thou shalt not kill.
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  8. Thou shalt not steal.
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
  10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Deuteronomy 30:11-16 “For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off… See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.”

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF A CHRISTIAN

John 3:3: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:5: “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Matthew 22:37-39: “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

Mark 16:16: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Matthew 7:12: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

Proverbs 28:9: “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.”

1 Peter 3:10-12: “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.”

Romans 8:13-14: “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

2 Peter 1:5-7: “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.”

Galatians 5:16-22:

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:”

Are You a Child of God?

Matthew 7:21: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

James 2:17: “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”

Psalm 111:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever.”

1 John 5:2-4: “2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

1 John 3:9-10: “9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”

3 John 1:11: “Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.”

John 14:21: “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

Deuteronomy 11:26-28: “26Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.”

And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

Beware of “Sardinian” or “Materialistic” Christianity

Many people become Christians without having their hearts set on God. Christianity for them is a way to put God at their service to satisfy their essentially carnal, earthly, and material concerns. People come to Christ for money, marriage, prosperity, health…

The Lord Jesus Christ first came to proclaim repentance and the kingdom of heaven. He promised that Christians could have tribulations in the world. We come to Christ primarily for salvation. Then, to live a genuine relationship with God, where He is our Master and we are His servant. Also, to contribute as we can to the edification of the body of Christ. We come to get rid of the works of the devil in our lives, to have God’s peace, His protection, and His blessings.

However, God’s blessing is not necessarily wealth, marriage, or any of our earthly concerns. Today I see Christians using the word “someone blessed me” to mean they were given money. Blessing seems to be confused with having money. Note that the apostles were not rich and did not consider godliness as a means of financial gain.

I even see people proclaiming when they will have their miracle, their marriage, their wealth… This Christianity, mainly focused on satisfying the needs of the flesh, is not Christianity. Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven. That is why those who are deeply into it easily fall into sin to fulfill the desires of their flesh.

When you come to God, do your part, present your petitions to Him, and let Him act. Your part is to honor Him, obey His commandments, walk in love and righteousness, and be born of water and the Spirit. Note that being baptised alone is not enough to be born again. It just allows you to enter the process of the new birth. Being born of the Spirit means changing your mindset to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, to immerse yourself in God’s word to live it, and to fully trust in God. This will also be reflected in meditating and practicing the prayer “Our Father who is in heaven.”

It will also be reflected in organising your specific prayers, which will prioritise requests related to the growth of your relationship with God (seek first the kingdom of God), then requests for others (and His righteousness), and finally only requests for your earthly problems.

Instead of announcing how you will be blessed with money or marriage in a year, announce your commitment to read the Bible in a year and the plan to achieve it, to have God’s word in you. Announce your acts of repentance and righteousness, put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), show your zeal for God, and do actions to honor Him and for edification.

Do not be deceived into thinking that you must give tithes to the pastor for your earthly concerns to be met. Freely give offerings to God’s servants and help any Christian according to your means, for in this way, you honor God. But do not do so while living in disobedience as if you are trying to bribe God. God tells us that obedience is better than sacrifice, and the knowledge of God is better than burnt offerings.

Once you are within this framework, you can apply the recommendation given to the Philippians.

Philippians 4:6-7: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Let God decide how He will respond to each of your requests. However, examine your requests to know if they truly align with your needs. Having a good job can be a need. Being a billionaire is not a need; it’s just proof that you are still entirely attached to earthly things. God can bless you with abundant riches, but it is He who decides. If you come to God with the plan that He must make you rich, you will easily fall into temptation and serve mammon.

God promises to take care of you ONCE YOU ARE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF HIS PROMISES. Concern yourself with entering this framework and watch Him work.

The Christian, Work, and Science

Genesis 3:19 “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

Exodus 20:8-11Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

Proverbs 6:6-11Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”

Proverbs 22:13 “The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.”

Acts 20:33-35 “I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel. Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

2 Thessalonians 3:10 “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

The Christian and Science

Proverbs 3:21-22 “My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: 21keep sound wisdom and discretion: 22So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.”

Proverbs 1:7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Proverbs 1:19 “So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.”

Exodus 31:4 “To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass.”

2 Chronicles 26:15 “And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.”

Summary of the Message of Conversion

  1. The beginning of wisdom and knowledge is the fear of God.
  2. The foundation of understanding God’s will is to recognise that love and justice are the fundamental framework of all God’s laws.
  3. The fundamental work of faith is obedience. Love and fear of God are expressed in the observance of His commandments, and His commandments are not grievous.
  4. We were sinners. In Jesus Christ, we are dead to sin. We have been freed from sin and have become servants of righteousness. We must walk in newness of life, in love and justice, and in observing God’s commandments.
  5. Water baptism is an essential step of our salvation, marking our entry into Christianity. It must be done by immersion, by someone who fears God and knows Jesus Christ.
  6. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, the only begotten Son who came from the Father, died for our sins, rose again, and is living. When we give our lives to Him and observe His commandments, He is with us daily, giving us the strength to walk in obedience, as well as His protection and peace.
  7. No matter their number, those who refuse Jesus Christ or live in iniquity go to perdition, to death.
  8. We come to God first for the kingdom of heaven. We must repent before baptism, and we must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. We must be born again.
  9. Through obedience, we enter the framework of God’s promises, strengthen our prayers, and partake in His blessings. In disobedience, we close God’s ear to our prayers.
  10. We must seek the knowledge of God through various means, among which our own reading or listening to the Bible is mandatory. We cannot limit ourselves to trusting our teachers, who can always be mistaken.
  11. Our God is not a God of laziness or disorder.
  12. Among Cameroonians, and also among many other African and American peoples, there are Israelites, descendants of Israel according to the flesh.
  13. If you have not yet received Christ, now is the favorable time, the day of salvation. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Accept Him and live your personal experience with Him.

The law of Moses corresponded to the Levitical priesthood, which was stopped with the new covenant in Christ. Christ is therefore the end of the law for the justification of believers, who no longer need priests from the lineage of Aaron or sacrifices for the atonement of sins.

How to Choose the “Men of God” to Follow or Listen To

Luke 11:52

“Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.”

Luke 7:29-30

“And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.”

Proverbs 3:21-22

“My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.”

1 John 2:18-19, 24-26

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”

“Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.”

2 Corinthians 11:4

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

2 Corinthians 6:14-17

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

2 John 1:9-10

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.”

Ephesians 4:14

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”

1 Timothy 1:3

“As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine.”

1 Timothy 4:1

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

Titus 1:9

“Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.”

2 Peter 3:15-17

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.”

Matthew 24:13

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

How to Deal with Dreams, Prophecies, and Warnings After Repentance

Do not let yourselves be led astray or into doubt by dreams, for the devil also attacks through false dreams. Hold firmly to your faith in Christ, knowing that He is your Savior. If a dream suggests something contrary to what you have learned or requires you to return to things you have abandoned because of your faith, simply consider it a false dream. The same applies to any prophecy someone might bring to you, or any warning urging you to return to dead works, dissolution, magic, divination, idolatry, spiritually “charged” drinks, foods, and oils prepared without your knowledge, and all other things you have recognised as evil in Christ.
